RGS Mailing List
The RGS List, hosted at YahooGroups, is currently 600+ members strong. It is open to anyone interested in the Rio Grande Southern Railroad. Members are expected to keep their postings within the Focus and Policies of the list. It is presently un-moderated. Please read this entire page if you are interested in joining

Focus

The primary focus of this list is to provide a forum for sharing historical and prototype information about the Rio Grande Southern Railroad. To a lesser extent, it is to share information about any other businesses (Rust Lumber Co., etc) or railroads (New Mexico Lumber Co., D&RGW, etc) that is connected to it. The secondary focus of this list is to discuss this information as it applies to our model railroading ventures.

Policies

This list is presently un-moderated. I'd like to keep it that way. So, please refrain from posting email virus information, babbling on endlessly about nothing, bashing modeling scales, etc, etc. If it doesn't pertain to the focus of the RGS List, then DON'T post it!  PLEASE remember that misunderstandings can occur with email. If you are making innocent comments in jest, keep in mind that the other members might not know your intent, which in turn can develop into insults and hurt feelings. If in doubt, keep it to yourself.  Anyone caught violating the policies of this list will be swiftly banned.

Model Manufacturer Advertising

Model Manufacturers with products that would be of interest to the members of this list are welcome to post a message.  As long as the posting is done once per product and in good taste, it is encouraged.  Spamming will not be tolerated and will result in you being banned from the list.

Attachments to messages

The RGS List is set up to clip attachments from messages. This is to ensure that viruses aren't transferred and members with low-bandwidth connections don't have their mailboxes clobbered. If you wish to share photographs, the RGS List section of Yahoogroups has a photos and files feature just for that purpose.
